This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit oilspecifications.org. It applies to the website, not to the Oil Specifications mobile app, which has a separate privacy policy.

Information we process
Our hosting environment may record your IP address, requested URL, referring page, browser and device information, and the date and time of a request. We use these records to deliver the website, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and protect the service. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable informational website.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website use and improve our content. In regions covered by our European consent message, we use Basic Consent Mode: the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and no Analytics request is sent until you consent to analytics storage. Where that consent flow does not apply, Analytics may load when the page opens, subject to applicable law and available opt-out rights.
Google Analytics uses the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish visitors and preserve session state. Their configured maximum lifetime is two years, although browsers may shorten it. User- and event-level Analytics data is retained for no longer than 14 months; aggregated reports may remain available for longer. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Essential administrative session and security cookies are used only when an authorized administrator signs in to the content-management system. The administrative session expires after two hours of inactivity.
Google's consent and advertising technologies may use consent-choice cookies for up to 13 months; advertising cookies such as _gads for up to 13 months; and advertising cookies such as IDE or id for up to 13 months in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland or 24 months elsewhere. Recipients, retention, and international transfers
We use Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestrasse 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, as our hosting processor under a data processing agreement. The website runs on a Hetzner Cloud server in Ashburn, Virginia, United States. Hetzner Online GmbH remains our contractual partner; server data and the traffic data technically required to provide the service are processed in the United States.
Website data may also be processed by Google Ireland Limited and its affiliates and by advertising vendors selected through Google's consent message. We do not sell personal data directly.
Application and web-server access logs are retained for no longer than 30 days unless a longer period is required to investigate a specific security incident or comply with law. Consent records, advertising information, and Analytics data are retained according to the periods described above and the applicable provider policies.
Hetzner Online GmbH uses the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with Hetzner US LLC for processing at its US locations. Other transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on an adequacy decision, participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or contractual safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable to the recipient. You may contact us for information about the safeguard used for a particular transfer. Hetzner provides further information in its data-protection guidance.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, erase, restrict, or provide a copy of your personal data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Send a request to info@my-web.hu. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or your local supervisory authority.
Children and external links
The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. Links to services such as Facebook and the Apple App Store take you to third-party sites governed by their own privacy policies. Ordinary outbound links do not load Facebook tracking code on this website.
